About the area

The villa is located in the highly sought-after Kolymbithres area of Naoussa, on the north-eastern coast of Paros.

Set on the quiet western edge of Naoussa Bay, Kolymbithres is where Paros shows its most sculptural side. Great rounded boulders of grey granite, worn smooth by centuries of meltemi winds, step down from the hillside into the sea and shape a chain of small coves with fine sand and calm, glass-clear water. The beach is partly organised. Some coves have sunbeds and umbrellas, while others stay untouched. The shallow, sheltered water suits young children, and swimming out among the rocks feels like discovering your own private pool.

Paros on the Rocks, right on the beach, is a relaxed spot for a light lunch, fresh salads and cocktails by the water, and it also offers paddleboards, snorkelling gear and waterskiing for more active days. Marema is the area’s finest table, made for long Aegean lunches and sunset dinners. Above the beach, Taverna Vigla serves honest island cooking with sweeping views across the bay, a local favourite for generations. Just around the headland, Monastiri Beach Bar & Restaurant draws a stylish crowd to its sheltered bay.

From there, walking paths through Paros Park lead past the chapel of Agios Ioannis Detis to the old lighthouse, best enjoyed in the soft evening light. On the hill above the bay, the remains of the Mycenaean acropolis at Koukounaries are a quiet reminder that people chose this coastline as home over three thousand years ago.

Naoussa, with its fishing harbour, boutiques and some of the island’s best restaurants and bars, is just a five-minute drive away. Kolymbithres gives you a peaceful retreat by day, with Paros’s liveliest village close at hand each evening.
